The Chhola Mandir police have filed a complaint against a doctor working at Aadhaar Hospital in connection with the death of a pregnant lady due to medical negligence during her treatment. According to the police investigation report, the womans condition worsened due to a blood transfusion reaction.

The police have opened an investigation based on the post-mortem findings and the comments of family members. According to the information provided, Mrs. Priyanka Rai (23) of Chandbadi was admitted to Aadhaar Hospital in Karond for childbirth on October 15, 2022.

On October 16, when the woman`s health deteriorated, Dr. Ranjan Parashar suggested a blood transfusion at 2 p.m. However, her condition continued to deteriorate, and she died at 10.30 p.m. The woman’s body was sent for post-mortem, and the statements of family members and doctors were taken.

According to the statement, blood was called from the blood bank at 5 p.m. on October 15 and transfused to the woman after around 21 hours at 2 p.m. on October 16. After starting the transfusion, her health began to deteriorate significantly. As a result, blood transfusions were halted. A complaint was filed against Dr. Ranjan Parashar (55), under Section 304-A of the IPC, based on the post-mortem report. The report revealed that the fatality was caused by an old blood transfusion.
